Plastic to Purpose: Gear Re-Imagined

Ecomadix was created in a small mountain town in British Columbia, Canada out of a fusion of our two core passions — the environment, and the freedom to wander. Our goal is to create a community of like-minded #EcoNomads who want to minimize their footprint as they explore our beautiful world. We believe that fashion, comfort, and sustainability don't have to be mutually exclusive, and that waste is a design flaw.

One of our core aims in producing our recycled collection is minimalism. Each of our pieces is not only built to last, but is also designed to be mixed and matched and serve several functional purposes. Our goal is to help ensure you can travel light while still looking great and feeling comfortable, all while reducing the need for over-shopping and fast fashion.

We want to always be fully transparent, and the first step to that is admitting that we’re far from perfect. We’re constantly working to improve our ethical processes, minimize our environmental impact, and leave this world better than we found it. We want to hear from you — what could we be doing better? Our Team

Living in Nelson, British Columbia, co-owners Jess, Noa, and Shannon are working hard to make the dream of Ecomadix come to life. As a group of young women of different shapes and sizes, we know exactly how hard it is to find cute, comfortable, flattering gear that also doesn’t contribute to the wasteful fast fashion industry. With Jess’s independent and ambitious spirit, Noa’s active and adventurous lifestyle, and Shannon’s empathic ethos and mindfulness of the spaces we all occupy, each Ecomadix co-owner’s unique perspective can be clearly seen through every thread of what we put out into the world. So we all came together, adding in the skillful hands and mind of Production Manager/Seamstress Extraordinaire Lauren, bringing our different backgrounds and life experiences together to create a brand for the Eco-Nomads in us all.
